What Are Sessions Like?

 

Individual sessions run 60 minutes. Sessions involve building a relationship of trust and understanding, resembling a secure attachment. From within that foundation, I may restate what I hear you say, reframe your perspective, or challenge you to test your belief system in alignment with your stated goals. 

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) sessions run 90 minutes. Sessions will evolve out of an individual session relationship, with the specific intention of going deeper in processing a traumatic experience, stubborn adverse behaviors, or consistent emotional reactions. It uses a form of rapid eye movement to activate neuroplasticity, finish processes, and initiate new responses. 

Couple or Family sessions run 120 minutes. Sessions involve building trusting relationships, exploring patterns of interaction and reactions, exploring key attachment wounds or needs, and refining new ways to engage and interact in close relationships.  

Psycho-Education sessions are an interactive discussion about various emotional and relational topics that support mental health resilience, social skills, sexual health, and nervous system regulation. Personal details may be shared, though no therapeutic processing will occur.
